Well hello there Mr Rick, nice to see you here at last, lol. Your room was getting dusty, haha. It is cool that you have been inspired by Ethan to get back into your music, and the result is clear I think, when listening to the passion in your recent songs. You are also getting very creative with your video editing, so who knows what the future may hold for you my friend.

The latest collab I saw with Sam and Hollie and Hannah and Nik, was very cool to see you there with your bass, hehehe. Anyway it is cool to see you here. Feel free to come in and treat this space as home, except - no Remote Control Cars inside, lol. Hey I really appreciate the comments regarding me! Thankyou for that, it is very much appreciated.  Smiley

Firstly, I want to thank  Ethan2Rock and family for everything they have done for me.   The inspiration I have drawn over time has been incredible.  Somehow, over the miles and oceans, Ethan's music has been able to reach out and put me back on track with music.  Thanks to the huge support and true friendship we share, I have found myself daring to do things musically that only a short time ago I would never have thought about doing.

And as to our friendship?  Gosh, words can't really describe the friendship I share with each member of Ethan's family.  There are few people in this world who I feel such a genuine and powerful connection with.

So to you, Ethan and family, I offer cheers and well wishes! Wink

Shocked  I would be remiss if I didn't mention Bryce here as well.  Thanks to your committment and support, this young star is really starting to shine.  And you have been a good friend to me as well.  Thanks for all of that my friend! Wink

Well I am pleased and so proud to announce that after 2 weeks and 2 new originals Ethan has SMASHED the local and National Music Charts on Reverb Nation!! What does this mean? Well I will give you an idea of what this means......

On the local charts for "Rock" musicians, there are 8 artists and Ethan is now more than 400 points ahead of the 2nd placed artist. Now on the National Rock charts ethan2rock has moved from 12th position to NUMBER 1 position from a listing of more than 200 artists!! If we remove the "Rock" genre and look at ALL GENRES in New Zealand, Ethan has secured the NUMBER 3 spot on the charts and this list holds more than 8,000 musicians!!!

If we then take a leap into the global music scene, and focus on ALL GENRES, Ethan is position at 2800 on the total list of more than 150,000 musicians, meaning that he is in the TOP 2% in the World.

Again this is testament to the benefits of hard work and lots of effort promoting and marketing the music. Well done to everyone involved, and to the many many fans that Ethan is building from all corners of the globe. We have now managed to build more than 20,000 links on Google to the brand "ethan2rock" and there is no plan to slow down.

If there are any other musicians reading this, and you would like some help with promoting your music or brand, dont be afraid to communicate with the 2Rock Studio team!

Congratulations Ethan, your hard work is starting to pay off big time.

Last night we headed off to the Colosseum to hear Ethan perform in the Winter Showcase. The night started with the typical sound checks with a number of local artists, all from the Bay Of Plenty Polytechnic. (University) It was a cold and dreary night outside, but inside there was an overwhelming sense of warmth and companionship as the musicians, sound guys, and venue staff mingled and got things set up. This went on for a couple of hours, and ran on for bit longer than it was supposed to, but everybody endured the punishment of sound check and the real music started on time at 7.30pm.

Ethan was introduced to the stage, acoustic in hand and microphone ready to go. He announced that he was playing his latest song (yet to be released) and off he went. The confidence and enthusiasm as always, showed his natural charisma, as he wooed the crowd through his first number. "Cold Hard Ashes" is a song written for a long lost companion, and the song did well to represent how Ethan can seamlessly put together a set of words, ordinary words, to tell an enchanting story. The crowd of around 60 people was silent until the very last note was played, and then the venue rang out with applause, whistles and shouts of appreciation. Ethan was proud of what he just delivered.

He then went on to introduce his second song "Just The Way It Seems" and again he pulled it off with relative ease. Battling with sub-standard sound levels and a proverbial "buzz" from the equipment, he charged through his second song with conviction and what has now been recognised as "Ethan Passion"

The crowd again showed their appreciation and enjoyment with a resounding applause, as Ethan tried to introduce the next artist on stage. When the applause faded, and he had managed to pass out a couple of very warm smiles, he went straight into thanking the audience and introducing the next act.

Overall and accounting for the fact that we were also videoing the event, the night was a great source of enjoyment for us all. To see him up there doing his thing with the big boys (and girls, lol) was a treat I will cherish for a very long time. It was also a comforting sight to see him mixing with the other musicians for most of the night, in the "Green Room", clearly lapping up the whole environment. One I am sure he will be a part of for many years to come.
